Mark your best sellers

In Menu → Highlights, mark the dishes you'd recommend to a first-time guest. Kudo leads with these when guests ask "what's good here?"

Set allergens and dietary flags

Flag each dish for the 14 EU allergens plus vegetarian/vegan/halal as relevant. When a guest says "no shellfish" or "I'm vegetarian", Kudo filters every suggestion for the rest of the conversation.

Build pairings and upsells

Attach pairings to dishes: the wine that goes with the fish, the fries that go with everything, the dessert after a grill plate. These become Kudo's timed suggestions — offered when guests are deciding, not after.

Keep it current during service

Run out of something? Mark it 86'd from the dashboard and Kudo stops offering it instantly — no more apologizing at the table for an item that's gone.

Tip: check the Suggestions report after your first week — it shows which upsells guests accept, so you can double down on what works.
