Languages & Guest Settings

A German guest and a French guest at the same table each talk to Kudo in their own language — here's how that works and what you control.

Automatic language detection

Kudo opens in the language of the guest's phone. If they type in another language, it switches instantly — mid-conversation, no settings, all 104 languages.

Your menu stays yours

Dish names stay authentic (nobody wants "octopus at the fisherman's way"); descriptions, allergens and Kudo's explanations translate naturally. You can override any translation you don't love.

Tone of voice

Pick the personality that fits your venue: warm & casual for the beach bar, polished for the dining room. Kudo keeps the same tone in every language.

House rules

Give Kudo standing instructions: last kitchen order at 23:00, no tap water in glass bottles, the terrace is dog-friendly. It answers these questions so your staff don't have to, in whatever language they're asked.
